This is Kitt
A few years ago, he lost his brother then his sister. He was depressed causing him to end up with severe crystals and close to death. He's my support cat and calms my anxiety down. When I thought I was losing him I was a mess couldn't cope and thought my life was over too. Someone helped me get in contact with you and then you took over. You helped me with forms and sorted all arrangements with payments to the vets. After a week Kitt was well enough to come home and I could finally breathe. Without your kind people I would have been completely broken. Kitt is now healthy and happy and I believe in the kindness of strangers which I never did before.
I could never thank you enough for what you did

This is Lizzie
Kevincares2018 very kindly helped me when Lizzie ran
into a metal fence and shattered her shoulder. She went into shock twice; on both occasions we nearly lost her. Lizzie was transferred to a specialist vet for treatment. Her insurance didn’t cover all of her costs. Kim very kindly phoned the vets and paid off some of Lizzies vet bill. She also kept in contact seeing how Lizzie was getting on.
This charity is not just financial help, but emotional support when you need it the most x

This is Harvey
Kevincares2018 kindly helped me with Harvey’s vets’ bills after he was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and we had used all his Insurance allowance. Unfortunately, I lost Harvey 6 months after his kidney was removed. Everyone in this group were so supportive. But huge thanks to Kim Breckon who was there for us.
I can’t thank you enough

This is Nala
Although I’ve not received help personally, I’ve been a supporter of Kevincares2018 recently since Nala has started her chemotherapy.
I see the huge help the charity gives to others.
You make a difference x

This is Nala
Nala was diagnosed Jan 2022 with metastatic anal sac adenocarcinoma. She went into remission Feb 2022 after 2 operations to remove the cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer returned the end of 2024. The only option we had was chemotherapy which is very expensive. A friend told me about Kevincares2018 and I joined the group and contacted Kim. The charity is helping fund Nala’s chemo which she is doing well on. Without this charity we wouldn’t have been able to fund her ongoing treatment as her insurance wouldn’t cover the full amount.
We are so grateful to the charity and their members.

This is Snuffle Pups
Obviously this little asbo Snuff was born with a cleft palate and hydrocephalus so we couldn't insure her straight off the bat. Unfortunately she started having cluster seizures at the age of about 8 weeks old, the same day we gave her worming treatment (although we think she may have had one before this but we weren't sure what happened at the time). Snuff was hospitalised for this, she was so young and so little the vets thought we were fighting a losing battle and we were called in to say our goodbyes but thanks to Kevincares2018 and Snuffs sheer determination to fight she came back to us. We were originally fundraising for her MRI to see how we could help her with her epilepsy and hydrocephalus but unfortunately she's far more complex than the vets had thought and ended up suffering many times and being hospitalised due to sodium deficiency and having cluster seizures at the same time as suffering with hyperkeratosis mange interdigital cysts. I honestly cant keep up with her list it just keeps going. Snuff is basically in a constant state of dehydration and won't touch water at all so we have to mix food in with water 6 times a day so she can have a minimum of 2 litres of water a day but unfortunately we didn’t no this until further down the line when Snuff took a turn and had to have an emergency week stay at Langford’s specialist hospital due to dehydration which by that point had taken every ounce out of her. It was the longest scariest week of my life waiting for news but thanks to Kevincares2018 who continued to fundraise the vets did everything they could to bring her round and after a week she came home. This was all in the first year of her life and she is now 5 whole years old 5 years of being able to laugh and love our girl all thanks to Kim and this group. We couldn't imagine life without Snuff. We are forever grateful and think of the Kevincares2018 team as our family we will never be able to repay them but we will spend a lifetime helping other beauties in need like everyone did for our girl. Xxx

This is Pixie
Kevincares2018 helped our family pay for an ACL operation for our Pixie after a so called ‘rescue’ centre dumped their responsibilities for her, leaving us with no insurance or financial support.
However, I must say the support from Kevincares2018 went much further than finances, we got the care and support of the group and a knowledge that some really good people in the world would give up their own comforts to support and encourage. This gave us back our hope and resilience and we will never forget this kindness at a time when we were vulnerable and feeling we had no options. Kim gave us moral and practical support and the money extended beyond the surgery to support with hydrotherapy rehabilitation. Pixie continues to have a lot of health problems after a really terrible start to her life, but we love her and support her. We just don’t know what we would have done without Kevincares2018 and we thank Kim and the group for all the lovely times we get to have with our Pixie girl xxx

This is Joey
When Nick and I got our first puppy together in our new home it was supposed to be the happy time in our life, fast forward 6 months and our happy healthy boy was collapsing and after a long traumatic day at Southfield we was told Joey had little hope to make it to 1 with the severity of his not one, but two heart conditions… we begged and pleaded to know all the options he was our baby, the options he had were ballooning his artery to try and improve one condition but Joey wasn’t stable enough right now, and a rare and dangerous heart bypass performed only at the RVC on 5 dogs coming in at around £25k all in… As a young couple in their early 20s that had just bought their first home finding the money seemed impossible but we refused to give up, the insurance company would not pay out a single penny as Joey had a small murmur picked up during his first vet visit. We kicked off a go fund me page asking friends and family that new Joey if they would like to support us, we reached out on golden retriever pages to see if anyone had experienced anything similar, that was when someone put us in touch with Kim at Kevin cares. Even though Kim was already supporting another pet she took on Joey too, rallying support and raising funds with energy and enthusiasm that we were running low on, but I think the most important thing to mention about Kevin cares is it’s not just a charity, it’s a community a family. Nick and I had received criticism from people around us that we were crazy to even consider spending that money… he was ‘just’ a dog. Our families were great but definitely had their reservations about if what we were doing was achievable, but once we became a part of the Kevin cares family it was like someone put their arm around us, the kindest most selfless people I have ever met with the tenacity to match, nothing was impossible. Kim was there for us every moment day and night messaging all night long when he was really bad and we didn’t know if he’d make it through, checking in after vet visits and just being there when you needed it ,other members of Kevin cares became close friends. The Kevin Cares family got it, they were by our side the whole way and we will never forget that. Fast forward to the week before Joey was due to have his ballooning op, Kim phoned us to say that an anonymous donor was going to pay for the entire operation. We were completely in shock and couldn’t believe that this was even real but lo and behold the day that Joey went in for his operation the bill was already paid infull. The overwhelming kindness and support that we received from Kevin cares made an awful experience, a humbling one. After an overwhelmingly successful first operation Joey finally became well enough for us to go to visit Kevin cares at an event. I will never forget the emotions that day finally, face-to-face with the strangers that had become family working tirelessly to raise money to support us and Joey. So to summarize Kevin cares as I said, it’s not just a charity, it’s a family. They gave us hope when we had very little, supported us through one of the worst experiences of our life with such kindness allowed us to connect with people that had experienced similar things and after Joey started to get better allowed people to reach out to us like Lisa with Leanna and we were able to return some of the support we had received. Joey is now six years old. He has a little brother, three cat friends and he is living his best life although we don’t know how long we have with Joey. We’ve already had more time than we ever dreamed of and that is thanks to Kevin cares. X

This is Poppy and Sheba
You helped with our gorgeous girl Sheba who had a lump removed from face, luckily came back OK. Your help made a huge difference for us knowing she could get the treatment she needed at a worrying time.
Although we funded Poppys treatment. Your support during the 4 years we had her was great, and we paid back KC by running dog shows in Poppys name x

This is Mac
Kevincares2018 helped us with our Mac, he was poorly, was not insured and needed blood tests when the Vet advised to put him to sleep as clearly we could not afford him, we were devastated, our boy needed a chance. Kevin Cares stepped in with no judgment at all, they paid for blood tests and medication and all the tests needed, they even sent us special food to try and get Mac to eat. Sadly Mac passed away, we were destroyed. Kevincares2018 did not stop with their support there, they arranged a special cremation for our boy which allowed us to bring him home where he belonged. We will forever be grateful to kevincares2018 for all they did for us and for all the other furbabies. We will always support and donate where and when we can.
